Horizons
The Horizons Collection spans the globe — from the Andean charango to the Afro-Brazilian berimbau, the Javanese gamelan to the Mongolian morin khuur, and the Swiss-born hang drum. Five instruments from five continents, each representing a musical tradition that has traveled far from its origins while remaining deeply rooted in cultural identity.
Latin America & Global
Instruments from the Andes to the steppes — where cultures converge at the edge of the world.

Charango
Andean Spirit
Born from cultural collision — when Spanish conquistadors brought the vihuela, indigenous Andean peoples created their own version. This small, ten-stringed instrument in five double courses produces a bright, silvery tone. The rasgueo strumming creates rapid percussive rhythms, while tremolo picking sustains notes with mandolin-like vibrance.

Berimbau
Soul of Capoeira
A single-string musical bow of Afro-Brazilian origin that commands the roda of capoeira. Different toques signal players to change speed, style, and intensity. Two or three pitches varied by pressing a coin against the steel string, with a dried gourd shaping resonance. The caxixi basket rattle adds rhythmic texture.

Gamelan
Bronze Meditation
A complete orchestra cast in bronze — metallophones, gongs, drums, and flutes that have been the ceremonial foundation of Javanese and Balinese culture for over a thousand years. Each set tuned to itself using slendro or pelog scales. Interlocking kotekan patterns create a shimmering, phase-shifting texture that inspired Western minimalism.

Morin Khuur
Horse-Head Fiddle
Mongolia's national instrument, inscribed by UNESCO. Two horsehair strings with the iconic carved horse head connecting to nomadic horse culture. Players touch strings from the side with fingernails, allowing continuous pitch bending and overtone harmonics that mirror throat singing. Said to capture wind across the steppe and the gallop of horses.

Hang Drum
Resonance of Steel
The newest instrument in the collection, invented in Switzerland in 2000. A steel handpan with hammered tone fields that produces bell-like, meditative tones. Viral on YouTube and TikTok with billions of views. Fully chromatic, perfect MIDI mapping, and equally at home in ambient production, meditation soundscapes, lo-fi beats, and cinematic scoring.
