Fuego

The Fuego Collection burns with the passion of Iberian and Mediterranean musical traditions. The cajón's journey from African-Peruvian resistance to flamenco stages, the bouzouki's dual Greek-Irish identity, and the palmas' explosive rhythmic engine — each instrument carries centuries of cultural exchange across oceans and continents.

Mediterranean

Iberian & Mediterranean

The fire of flamenco, the passion of the Mediterranean, and the ancient musical bridge between continents.

Cajón
instrument

Cajón

Flamenco Fire

A wooden box drum originating in Peru — enslaved Africans created it when drums were banned. Adopted by flamenco in the 1970s through Paco de Lucía's percussionist Rubem Dantas, now ubiquitous in acoustic pop, Latin music, and unplugged sessions worldwide. Its journey from resistance to global pop is a story of cultural exchange across oceans.

Bouzouki

Mediterranean Soul

A long-necked, round-bodied lute with 3 or 4 courses of double strings. The Greek bouzouki (trichordo) defined rebetiko music; the Irish bouzouki, adapted by Johnny Moynihan and Dónal Lunny in the 1960s, became central to Celtic folk. One of the most keyboard-friendly string instruments, fully chromatic in standard tuning.

Flamenco Palmas

Rhythm of Fire

Not a single instrument but a pair of techniques: palmas (rhythmic handclapping — sordas/muted and fuertes/loud) and zapateado (flamenco footwork percussion). Together they form the rhythmic engine of flamenco. Complex 12-beat compás cycles with accents that don't align with standard 4/4 time. Built-in bulerías, soleá, and tangos patterns.
